Cusco is an important place for the history this is the best way to understanding of what you might visit afterwards. It covers the visit of the Sun Temple (Koricancha) and the Cathedral in Cusco, to then continue on to visit 4 archaeological sites in the city surroundings: the impressive Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay.

We will go to meet with you at your hotel lobby to begin your tour. From here, you will head to Cusco’s Plaza de Armas, where you will visit the colonial built wish is a famous main cathedral. Following, you will continue on foot through an ancient and important Inca temple -built street from the Plaza de Armas to the Q’oricancha, the Temple of the Sun. At the Q’oricancha you will be able to compare and contrast the building methods of the Incan culture and Catholicism. This was the gate spiritual center of the Incas, which leads to all four quarters of the Inca Empire. There is also a bronze, high altar to be seen.

From Q’oricancha, your group will walk down Avenida El Sol, where you will take your bus 25 minutes outside of the city. You will be taken to the impressive Inca site, Sacsayhuaman, with its enigmatic, 200 ton monoliths, your guide explain all the history of this place and also You will be able to have an amazing picture of Cusco city and explore on your own.

From Sacsayhuaman, you will take a five-minute bus ride to the Q’enqo Inca site to see its fascinating Incan altars. Following, you will take another fifteen minute to drive to Puca Pucara, a small, circular Inca site. The final stop on our tour is Tambomachay, a water temple with impressive water fountains, thought to be used by the Inca for bathing. We’ll then drive back down to Cusco where the tour ends in the main square, unless you are taking a private tour, in which case, we will return you to your hotel.

This tour is only done privately and You will travel in a private van. If your group is larger than six, please ask our sales representative for specific pricing.

    Transportation: We will pick you up in our private van, directly from your hotel around 1 p.m. The van will be waiting for you at each stops.after finish the tours our private van drops you at your hotel.

NOT INCLUDE

  • Entrance Fees: Many of the sites in Cusco and the Sacred Valley accept the Boleto Turistico (Tourist Ticket), which is a bit costly, but grants access to many of our areas highlights. Included in this tour are the 4 inca ruins you visit on the city limits. The ticket can be purchased as a one (1) day pass for 70 PEN or a ten (10) day pass for 130PEN. A valid STUDENT CARD does offer a discount on the 10 day pass for 70 PEN.
  • Only soles are accepted and it must be paid in cash. You will be able to purchase this directly at the first site.
