Peru is interconnected by thousands of miles of Inca roads, however, the section that reaches the citadel of Machu Picchu is among the most popular trekking routes of the world, by the natural beauty of its surroundings and for being one of the main routes used at the time of the Incas. This journey of 43 kilometers, ideal for adventure and history lovers, is a perfectly preserved section, combining different ecological zones, from valley, high-altitude deserts to the rainforests, passing through important archaeological centers and experiencing incredible wildlife observation. Your tour ends, when you crossed the threshold of “Intipunku” (Gate of the Sun) to reach the magnificent viewpoint of Machu Picchu (the Lost City of the Incas) and masterpiece of architecture and engineering Inca, considered a world heritage site and one of the seven wonders of the world. Our adventure turns imagination into lifelong memory.

Day1.-Cusco to Wayllabamba. (12km)

The first day of the trek is relatively easy and serves as training for the days follow. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco at 5 a.m.to drive the trailhead at kilometer 82. The early start is rewarded by the most beautiful views passing by this picturesque village of chinchero, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo for 2 ½ hours to the start point km 82 Piscacucho.our bus normally stop at a café /restaurant just before the town of Ollantaytambo in the sacred valley for about 30 minutes or so to give people the opportunity to have breakfast. You can also buy bottled water and snack here although it is probably cheaper to bring from cusco.to avoid congestion buses are no longer permitted to stop in the village of ollantaytambo. Having arrive at km82 at around mid-morning hiker cross the vilcanota River and follow the trail to the right as is climbs steeply up from the river. After passing through a small village, the ruins of the Inka Hillfort of Huillca Raccay come into view high above the mouth of the River Cusichaca (happy bridge). from this point we will have spectacular views of the Llactapata ruins, which was a check point of the Inca trail approach to Machu Picchu.over view of the History of the Inca trail.
For a further 7km the path follows the left bank of the river up to the small village of Wayllabamba (3000 msnm). the name in Quechua means grassy plain. This is the last place along the trek that you can buy snacks and drinks. We will spend the night in this village. however, this is a farming community, so if you are a light sleeper and maybe kept awake by the noise of donkeys or early morning roosters then we suggest that you take are-plugs!!

Day2.-Wayllabamba to Pacaymayo.

After our delicious breakfast. Begin the day’s trek by ascending to Dead Woman’s pass. following the left bank of the llulluchayoc river for about 1hours bring you to tres piedras and a small bridge over the Huayruro River. The stream is named after the Huayruro which is an ornamental tree. A lilted further on you’ll enter a beautiful cloud forest, passing through various biozones, including the low sierra and the high puna. there are many opportunities so see a variety of plant. A further three hours hike through steepening woods and increasingly spectacular terrain brings to you at Llulluchapampa. (3800m/12,460ft), we will stop here and have a short break and a tea or coffee. It is another 1 ½ hours ascending to the first and highest pass of the trail (abra warmihuanusca or dead woman’s pass)4215m/13825ft at the top of the pass you will have the most gorgeous mountain scenery. The decent from the pass is steep although not difficult, following the trail for 1hour to get pacaymayo campsite for our lunch and 2nd night.

Day3.-Pacaymayo to Wiñaywayna. (15)

Today is, without a doubt, the most rewarding day of the entire journey. We will walk downhill for 2 ½ hours until to reach our campsite. During this stretch of the trail we will visit Inti Pata.form here the most beautiful pictures of the entire Inca trail can be taken from here.leaving Inti Pata it is just 40 minutes to our campsite at Wiñay Wayna(2680m/8,792ft.) is the last official campsite before to Machu Picchu.a short trail leave you to the most beautiful arqueological site of Winay Wayna means( forever young)

Day4.-WINAY WAYNA TO MACHU PICCHU.

As soon as the sky starts getting light around 5:30am we will set of on the trail again (regulations prevent us from starting the trek before).the trail contours a mountainside and drops into cloud forest before coming to an almost vertical flight of 50 steps leading up to the sun gate(inti punku) this is the ancient entrance of the sacred city and give us first incredible views to the lost city of the Inca Machu Picchu.it is another 30 minute to walk down to Machu Picchu itself. You will at the Watchman’s hut from where you’ll be able to appreciate this Inca site in all their glory. This is the classic postcard viewpoint after the group has had a chance to rest and soak up the atmosphere you must descend to the main entrance to leave you backpacks in the deposit.
